The Cars

Aston Martin, Britain’s most exclusive sports car company, made its return to international racing in 2005 with the DBR9.

A new division called Aston Martin Racing was created in partnership with Prodrive, the world’s leading motorsport and automotive technology specialist. Prodrive is responsible for Aston Martin's global racing operations and oversees all aspects of race car production and development.

In 2005 the DBR9 won its debut race at the 12 Hours of Sebring. In 2007 and again in 2008, Aston Martin Racing went on to win the GT1 class at Le Mans with the DBR9.

Aston Martin Racing has also supplied the DBR9 to numerous private teams who have won international sports car series, including the FIA GT Championship and the Le Mans Series.

In 2005, Aston Martin Racing developed the DBRS9, also based on the DB9 road car, but built to FIA GT3 regulations. Like the DBR9, this car is competing in the hands of private teams in international and national sports car series.

The Vantage N24 joined the Aston Martin Racing stable in 2006. The Vantage GT2 was introduced to the Aston Martin Racing stable in 2008 and is joined by an evolution of the Vantage N24, the Vantage GT4 for the 2009 race season. With the introduction of the Vantage GT4, Aston Martin Racing is the only manufacturer to offer cars in every GT racing category.
