Team history:
The HEXIS Racing Team was set up at the end of 2001/beginning of 2002 and started the season on the track with its first red and grey single-seaters. The team obtains a pole position and place on the podium at its first participation in a Formula Renault race, 2 victories in 2003, 3rd place in the French Formula Renault team championship and debuts in Grand Tourism in the Porsche 996 Cup in 2005.

HEXIS Racing is a result of Michel Mateu’s passion for motor racing. As president of the HEXIS Group of companies he evokes technical competence, quality, performance and innovation as guiding principles for HEXIS. Michel Mateu appoints Philippe Dumas as Team Manager in charge of the day-to-day management of the team and Clément Mateu as communications & development manager. Their combined competence ensures that the team is managed successfully day in day out. HEXIS Racing owes its performance to a synergy of the technical, geographical and above all human resources.

The team is based on the LEDENON race track. Over 400m² of workspace are retained for maintenance and the development our race cars. The same site also has offices and a conference room where training classes and VIP hospitality days for our sponsors are held. (200m² meeting room)

Team highlights:
FFSA GT3 Team Championship 2007: 3rd with 2 race wins.
FIA GT3 European Championship 2007: 2 pole positions, 3rd at Silverstone, 2nd in the Aston Martin Manufacturers Cup with 2 class wins.

Plans for 2008:
Hexis Racing is entering three Aston Martin DBRS9cars in the 2008 FIA GT3 European championship. The decision
is logical enough given that the Lédenon-based team was ever-present in last year’s European championship, although its main focus was on the French season. The difference this season is that Hexis Racing will be concentrating its efforts on Europe, in which it will be racing three DBRS9s instead of two. Hexis Racing is entering three Aston Martin DBRS9cars in the 2008 FIA GT3 European championship.
