Formerly named the 'Le Mans Endurance Series', the Le Mans Series enters its 5th year in 2008. The series provides additional opportunities for teams to gain worldwide race experience with Le Mans category GT race cars.

This year the season consists of five 1000km/six-hour races. Starting in April at the famous Spanish circuit of Catalunya, the series takes in a further 3 major European venues before finishing in September at the Silverstone.
